Princess Anne's Battery (update) This is the only intact battery of 5.25 inch AA guns anywhere in the world. The section has been updated due to the recent refurbishment of No. 3 gun. New interior and exterior photographs have been added. |

Mediterranean Steps section updated and expanded due to a major refurbishment completed in June 2007.
Moorish Castle section updated and expanded due to the re-opening of the Tower of Homage, which had been closed for four years during archaeological research and refurbishment. Spur Battery added to the Tunnels, Gun Batteries and Fortifications section of the website. This is listed under OTHER SECTIONS on the GIBMAP page. The gun was removed from the this battery in 1981 and now forms part of an Imperial War Museum branch at Duxford in Cambridgeshire, England. Levant Battery added to the Tunnels, Gun Batteries and Fortifications section of the website. This is listed under OTHER SECTIONS on the GIBMAP page. |

Northern Defences This extensive area of fortifications has been added to the TOWN SECTION of the site. It covers one of the most significant sections of Gibraltar's defences which includes extensive tunnelling dating back to 1789 known as The Lower Galleries. They include Hanover Gallery, Bomb Proof Battery, Kings Gallery, Star Chamber, Commons Hall, St. Patrick's Chamber, Orillon Battery and Queens Galleries. The site has now become the largest resource providing information about Gibraltar on the internet, with over 300 pages, and over 1000 photographs, panoramas, maps and diagrams. A major update to the TOWN SECTION of the site now includes the following.

La Linea section added which provides information about the remains of the 18th century Spanish fortifications as well as WW2 Bunkers and the La Linea Museum.
Kings Chapel added to the Town Section of the site. This includes photographs and information about this beautiful church. Carteia section updated with the addition of new 360 panoramas. Gibraltar Museum section updated providing new photography and 360 panoramas of the renovated Medieval Moorish Baths which re-opened to the public recently. |

Tunnel Tours added to the Upper Rock Nature Reserve and Tunnels, Guns and Fortifications sections of the site. This has been a major addition which covers the accommodation chambers of the WW2 tunnels as well as the 18th Century tunnels (Middle Galleries) which where part of the extensive Northern Defences of Gibraltar.
18th Century Magazine added to Princess Anne's Battery page. This magazine is the largest of its type remaining anywhere in the world. The photographs show the current state after many decades of dereliction. Historical sites in Spain close to Gibraltar added to the GIBMAP page, this should develop into a major section regarding fortifications adjacent to Gibraltar, Roman remains, prehistoric sites and much more in the surrounding area in Spain. |
