The defensive complex shown at the lower left is the Montague Bastion, behind this is Casemates Square and Landport fortifications. The Moorish Castle complex extends to the high ground with the Tower of Homage at the high point.		The nineteenth century town is quite extensive with many of the buildings still existing today.
