Model of Gibraltar view 18 (1865)
The huge ancient sand dune was modified during the 20 century to produce an extensive water catchment area for the collection of rain water. As of 2002 it has been restored to natural terrain. Today the top cable car station is at the top centre of this photograph.		The cliffs remain unchanged on this side of the Rock, however the coastline now has a road and a housing development called Bothworlds at the lower left of this photograph.
