Gibraltar cable car

The present Cable Car was originally constructed in April 1966 by Von Roll of Switzerland, and was extensively refurbished by the manufacturers in 1986.

The station is situated in an area called Grand Parade containing a large public car park. This flat area had been a military parade ground since the early 19th century. The walking time to Grand Parade from Casemates Square is 15-20 minutes.
